Ben Nostrand, CFP®
Ben brings over 30 years of financial experience to his client relationships and prides himself on helping them reach their financial goals. Ben has successfully navigated through many bear markets, corrections and volatility and helps clients look objectively at the markets while taking out the emotions. His ability to take a step back and see through the noise is what his clients appreciate most.
Ben has served as a trusted advisor since 2008 when he started his first firm as a financial planner and portfolio manager. Before moving to Vermont, Ben worked in Boston at Putnam Investments, Fidelity Investments and State Street Boston. His most recent role was Senior Vice President of Risk and Portfolio Analysis at Putnam. Prior to that he was a senior portfolio analyst at Fidelity Investments after a series of progressively higher roles at Putnam and StateStreet.
Ben graduated with a BA in Economics from the University of Vermont. He also has an MBA in Finance from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner.
Ben lives in Charlotte, Vermont with his wife and two children. In his spare time, you can find Ben spending as much time in the outdoors as possible, whether it is sailing or fishing on the waters of Lake Champlain, in the mountains skiing or mountain biking, or landscaping at home.
Ben has served on the board of the Lund Family Center as well as the Vermont Regional Board of the UVM Alumni Association.
